Thieves who steal a new credit card released by Visa Europe will have to do way more than forge a signature. In order to use the new card called Visa CodeSure, you'll have to punch a series of security passwords into the card itself. The new card is the same size as a typical credit card but it comes with a small 12-button keyboard, screen and even a battery that will power the device for three years.

According to The Economic Times, you'll have to enter a PIN code onto the card's keypad. The system will then generate unique passwords that must be used for Internet purchases. Creators say this will make the card extremely secure for online shopping. The card is compatible with point of sale devices and ATMs.

Consumers can also choose whether they want to use it like a debit card or a credit card. According to The Economic Times, Head of Innovation at Visa Europe, Sandra Alzetta, said: "This exclusive Visa solution is an extremely convenient way to bring a similar level of security to payments online as we now enjoy on the high street. The solution goes beyond online and remote shopping but also allows organisations to use the card in place of other online log-in systems to access."
